Ampeg has been a familiar name in bass amplification since the 1940s. The brand is known worldwide for powerful bass amps and for the legendary SVT series used on stage, in rehearsal rooms and in studios.

We handle Ampeg warranty repairs for customers in the Benelux. From our workshop in Leimuiden, we also help with diagnostics, parts and technical service for current and older Ampeg equipment.

We work for musicians, studios, dealers and professional users. For import and distribution in our region, Ampeg is supported through Yamaha.

Parts available quickly

Many commonly needed parts are in stock or can be sourced within a few days, which often helps keep turnaround times manageable.

If an original part is no longer available, we can often still look for a practical repair route using donor units or alternative technical solutions where appropriate.

 

Collection service where available

We work with several transport partners and can check on request whether collection can be arranged for your address and country.

Of course, you are also welcome to bring your equipment to our workshop in Leimuiden if that is more convenient for you.

 

Repair estimate

If the equipment is out of warranty, our technicians prepare an estimate when the expected costs exceed the limit agreed in advance. The estimate is free of charge if you let us carry out the repair or if you leave the equipment with us without repair. If you want the equipment returned without repair, we charge part of the costs incurred, namely EUR 42.50 excluding 21% VAT and shipping costs.

How do I submit my faulty audio equipment?

Submitting your repair is easy through our RMA portal. Register your device and select the option for pickup and delivery service. We will then arrange for UPS to collect your equipment from your location and bring it to our service center for further examination, accurate diagnosis, and a price quote. This way, you know exactly what to expect. If you decide to proceed with the repair after the examination, the examination fee of 35 euros will be waived.

 

What to include with the product?

  1. The defective product (with power supply, remote control, etc., if related to the complaint)
  2. A clear description of the issue
  3. For warranty repairs: proof of purchase

If you prefer, you can also bring the product to our service center yourself.

Can I also have an older device repaired?

Yes, our technicians are highly experienced in both digital and analog equipment. In addition to an extensive parts inventory of original components, we also have a large stock of disassembled devices, which often allows us to repair older equipment as well.

Is on-site repair possible?

Hanex provides on-site repair services for non-transportable equipment or fixed installations in the Netherlands. We also offer this service in other countries upon consultation. Please be aware that additional call-out charges may apply. If on-site repair is not feasible, we will transport (part of) the equipment to our workshop for repair.

What is the warranty on the repair?

 Hanex offers a standard 3-month warranty on the repaired issues. If the existing problem recurs or a new problem arises after this period, we will of course resolve it properly.

What if the repair turns out not to be worth it?

If you decide not to have the device repaired after examination, the investigation costs of €42,50 will be waived if you leave the device with us. If you want the device returned, we will charge the investigation costs and any shipping costs.

In most cases, repair turns out to be certainly interesting because our repairers repair at the component level. So we only replace that one defective part, not the entire mechanism or circuit board. And if repair turns out not to be worthwhile, we will work with you to find a solution.
